Service in Learning

Service in Learning is a program run by PTSA for our students and families. In this program, students and families will have the opportunity to learn the value of community participation and gain a deeper understanding of issues in their immediate community.  

Goal: To provide opportunities for Adum students and families to take a deeper role in the IB Action Cycle.

Who: All K-8 students, parents, teachers, staff, and volunteers. (Some opportunities may have specific age requirements.)

When: 1-2 events per quarter. Please view the calendar for upcoming events.

Why: To nurture a spirit of community service at our school.

09/12: Coloring and Letter writing to our troops at the Millage Referendum Meeting 
10/26: Park and Debris Clean Up (Post Hurricanes)-Gadsden Park 

11/1-11/5/24: Treats for Troops (In conjunction with 1st grade initiative) 

11/02: Tunnel to Tower Climb to benefit Veterans and First Responders (Postponed due to the Hurricanes)  

12/4-12/9/24: Holiday Food drive with Metropolitan Ministries 

02/01: Feeding Tampa Bay Warehouse sorting 

02/18, 02/20. 03/11, 03/13: Paws for Literacy
